This privacy policy covers mohammedshehu.com and all products, tools, and browser extensions published under the Mo Shehu portfolio. It explains what data we collect, how we handle it, and what rights you have.
What we collect
On our websites, we use standard analytics and tracking scripts to understand how visitors interact with our content. These scripts may collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, referral sources, device type, and approximate location. This data is processed by third-party analytics providers and is not personally identifiable.
In our browser extensions and tools, each product’s listing or documentation states what data it collects, if any. Where no data collection is mentioned, the tool doesn’t collect or transmit personal data or usage telemetry. In cases where a tool does collect data — for example, to enable a feature that requires it — this is disclosed clearly within the product itself or its listing.
Cookies
Our websites use cookies set by third-party analytics and marketing tools. These cookies help us understand how visitors use our sites and may persist across sessions. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of our websites function. Where a product or website requires an account or authenticated session, we may set cookies necessary for that functionality, such as session tokens or login state. Any additional cookies come from the third-party tools listed under Third-party services below.
General principles
- We don’t sell your data to third parties.
- We don’t use advertising networks in our tools or extensions.
- Where a tool operates entirely on your device, your data stays there and is subject to your own browser or system’s storage management.
- Where a tool requires an account or remote processing to function, this is stated in the product’s description before you install or use it.
AI integrations
Some of our products incorporate or integrate AI models — for example, to power suggestions, analysis, or automation features. Where this is the case, it’s disclosed in the product’s description or documentation.
AI-powered features typically require an API key that you supply yourself. We don’t store your API key beyond what’s necessary to make the feature function during your session, and we don’t log or transmit it to any server we control. You remain responsible for managing, rotating, and securing your own API keys.
We take reasonable care in how we pass data to AI models, including prompt design and data isolation to reduce the risk of data leakage or prompt injection. That said, AI model behaviour is ultimately governed by the provider you connect to, and we can’t control or guarantee how that provider handles data sent to their API. We recommend reviewing your AI provider’s own privacy and data-use policies before connecting them to any tool.
Third-party services
Our websites use third-party analytics and marketing tools (such as Google Analytics or similar). These services have their own privacy policies and may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out through your browser’s cookie settings or your analytics provider’s opt-out mechanism.
Individual tools and extensions may also integrate with third-party services where stated. Each integration is disclosed in the relevant product’s documentation or listing.
Data security
We take reasonable technical precautions to protect data handled by our products, including prompt design, data isolation, and limiting what data is collected or transmitted in the first place. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security. If you believe you’ve identified a security issue in one of our products, please contact us at mo[at]mohammedshehu.com.
Data retention
Analytics data collected on our websites is retained according to our analytics provider’s default retention settings. For individual tools and extensions, data handling and retention details are described within each product’s own documentation where applicable.
Your rights
If you’re located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data we hold about you, and in some cases the right to object to or restrict its processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mo[at]mohammedshehu.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
Children’s privacy
Our products aren’t directed at children under the age of 13, or under 16 where required by local law. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through one of our products, please contact us and we’ll take steps to remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top. Continued use of our websites, tools, or extensions after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we’ll make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the relevant product or website.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from it are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
No warranty
Our products — including open-source tools, browser extensions, and standalone programs — are provided as-is. We make no warranty, express or implied, that they’re free from defects, errors, or security vulnerabilities. We take care in how we build and maintain them, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we’re not liable for any loss, damage, data theft, security breach, or other harm arising from the use or inability to use any of our products. This includes but isn’t limited to damage resulting from malicious attacks, API misuse, prompt injection, or unintended interactions with third-party services.
Using our tools is at your own discretion and risk.
